Should I use Tally Prime or Zoho Books?

Tally Prime is a one-time purchase (~₹18,000–₹54,000) and is the most widely used in India — your CA will almost certainly know it. Zoho Books is cloud-based (~₹749–₹2,499/month) and accessible from anywhere. For most startups, Zoho Books is easier to start with.

What is a chart of accounts?

An organised list of all financial categories your business uses — sales revenue, office expenses, salaries, GST liability, etc. Setting it up correctly means financial reports are meaningful and your CA can work without confusion.

What if my books are a complete mess from the past year?

That’s exactly what we’re used to. Our Complete Setup package includes up to 3 months of historical entry. For larger backlogs, we’ll quote based on transaction volume.

Do I need an accountant to manage bookkeeping every month?

Not necessarily. Once set up properly, a non-accountant can handle basic data entry. Our Setup + Monthly plan is for businesses that prefer to outsource the entire bookkeeping function.

Will my CA be able to work with the books you set up?

Yes. We set up accounts in a structure any CA will be comfortable with. If your CA has specific preferences, tell us during setup and we’ll accommodate them.
